Coronavirus Update

Wednesday 18th March 2020

Due to the ongoing developments of COVID-19 in Scotland, Angus Young Carers has made the decision to limit our activities. As of 18th March 2020 we will be stopping face to face activities, which includes our fortnightly respite groups and upcoming holiday activities, both within the centre and community settings until the situation improves.

Although we have postponed the groups and face to face contact, we will still have 1:1 with video calling or phone calls during group times to check-in and provide young carers with support. We are working hard to put other forms of support and activities in place which can be done virtually and we encourage young carers to access these, as we are unsure when the situation may improve.

However, during this time we will be making full use of our digital technology and will still be providing virtual support, this includes telephone support, video chats, becoming more active on social media and encourage online support via Facebook messenger. Please contact: Megan 07387 017 445, Gillian 07387 017 436 or Angus Carer Centre 01241 439 157. Also message us via our Facebook page.

We understand this is a worrying time for everyone as the situation with coronavirus evolves, it's important to know what support is available to you as a carer and those you look after. Carers UK offers guidance and support at:

We will continue to provide updates via our Facebook page with any further information and guidance over the coming weeks and months.
