Free Access to Leisure Facilities for Young Carers

Friday 15th November 2013

With effect from 1st August 2013, Angus Council have agreed that any young carer registered with Angus Young Carers will be entitled to access Angus Council Leisure facilities at no charge.  This means that any young carers registered with us will be able to enjoy time out from their caring responsibilities to go for a swim, or to any of the Angus Council gyms.

¨ If you already have b-Active card, you should return to any of the leisure facilities with your card and explain that they are a young carer, registered with Angus Young Carers.  They will then take your card and arrange for it to be updated, before returning it to you.

¨ If you do not already have a card, you should complete a b-Active application form and    return it to any of the leisure facilities who will then process your application.

Leisure services will then contact us to confirm that you are registered with us, and then produce your card.
