Wake-a-Thon raises 350 pounds

Monday 25th April 2016

The Young Adult Carers (YAC) at Angus Carers' Centre have raised over £350 to help finance the wide range of events and activities that the YAC take part in each year.

To raise the money, the Young Adult Carers themselves organised and participated in a ‘Wake-a-Thon’ over the 23rd and 24th April, at the Carers’ Centre in Arbroath.

To stay awake through the night, the Young Adult Carers chatted with Police Scotland officers, played Wii games, held dance-offs, took part in indoor games, indulged in pampering sessions and did college coursework.

Rations for the event were kindly supplied by Tesco Arbroath, Kenny's Cafe and Dominos.

The YAC Group is still fundraising for their ‘Wake-a-Thon’ and they hope to raise over £500 once all their sponsorship money has been collected.

If you’d like to make a donation to the YAC Group, you can so at their JustGiving page.
